The scenic North Georgia Mountains are just a 2 hour drive from Powder Springs and offer a vast array of attractions and activities. North Georgia is a great place to do some trout fishing in a clear mountain stream or enjoy hiking on one of the many mountain trails. It is definitely worth making a day of it.

John McEachern High School is known for its high academic standards, great atheletics programs and College style campus thanks to the private endowments by the late John McEachern.
